A second life for expansed polystyrene and polypropylene waste thanks to X-Pack

Packaging made from expanded polystyrene (EPS) and expanded polypropylene (EPP) offers numerous economic, social and environmental advantages for a more sustainable and circular economy in Europe. These are lightweight, highly versatile materials, widely used to protect everything from sensitive goods (packaging) to people (bike/motorcycle helmets – car parts – home insulation).

By reliably ensuring the packaging of valuable goods, from fresh fish to electronics and vaccines, EPS and EPP are essential to everyday life and health. Consisting of 98% air, they are resource-efficient, help reduce our carbon footprint and are 100% recyclable!

X-Pack is committed to recycling EPS and EPP.  Indeed, we recently made a major investment in a compactor that enables us to recover these 2 materials and redirect them to partners who recycle them 100%. EPS waste will thus have a new life in XPS (extruded polystyrene) insulation panels, while PPE waste will once again be transformed into expanded polypropylene!

In addition to recycling our own production waste, we also recover clean expanded polystyrene and polypropylene, whether or not marketed by X-Pack.
